Peer Review Process

IJIEFER upholds stringent standards of academic integrity and impartiality through a Double-Blind Review process, which serves as the foundation of our manuscript submission and evaluation system to ensure an unbiased and thorough assessment.

Upon submission, manuscripts are assigned by the Editor-in-Chief to the Managing Editor for an initial evaluation in consultation with the editorial board, which may result in acceptance, rejection, or advancement to the peer review stage; originality is verified using Turnitin to prevent plagiarism.

For peer review, two subject matter experts are appointed by the Editors to evaluate the manuscript under a double-blind protocol, utilizing a standardized review form to preserve anonymity for both authors and reviewers. The Editor communicates the review outcome to authors—acceptance, revision requests, or rejection—while maintaining reviewer confidentiality. Authors are required to thoroughly address reviewers’ comments and resubmit through the original submission system, after which the revisions are re-evaluated.

Following satisfactory revision, formal acceptance is communicated to the author. Authors retain the right to appeal editorial decisions by submitting a detailed justification, which is carefully reconsidered by the editorial team and, where necessary, additional reviewers. The entire review process is conducted with strict confidentiality to safeguard the privacy of all parties involved; reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and uphold the confidentiality of the manuscripts they evaluate.
